THE Miss Thee Unbreakable Stars 2025 title holder Bonisiwe Mnxasana (21) has demonstrated acts of kindness by donating sanitary pads and clothes to the Matatiele-based children’s welfare centre called Cross Roads on July 18.
This was in commemoration of Mandela Day, which is celebrated across the world and encourages individuals to dedicate 67 minutes to service, symbolising the 67 years Nelson Mandela dedicated to public service.
This year’s Mandela Day took place last Friday and many volunteers heeded the call to action to make a positive impact in communities, donating to charity and engaging in acts of kindness.
Mnxasana, of the Mazizini village in Matatiele, has been working with Silukhanyo Home-Based Care in her village where she donated sanitary pads and clothes. She also served hot meals to the community.
At times, she conducts motivational talks to young people focusing on life chances and healthy lifestyle.
“In rural areas, most young people do not visit clinics where they can be taught about healthy living. Young people often suffer from anxiety and depression because they do not talk about their problems,” said the Walter Sisulu University student.
The model is being assisted by individuals and sometimes uses her own money to fund her charity drives.
Her modelling career started last year when she formed part of the Miss Matatiele pageant. Recently, she was crowned Miss Thee Unbreakable Stars 2025 in East London.
