IT’S that time of the year when Kokstad gets active with search activities to identify hidden talents.
This year’s second segment of NCW’s Got Talent, hosted by Helping Hands NCW NPO, will allow young talents to compete for prizes.
In preparation for the final day of the competition scheduled for April 25, auditions were conducted last month with participants competing to secure a place in the final to be held at Kokstad Primary School.
Day one is set to be a vibrant family day that kicks off from 9am and later delivers a spectacular celebration of youth talent and community spirit.
Adding to the excitement, contestants will share the stage with renowned R&B artist Verd Eaton who has partnered with Helping Hands NCW. The event will also feature performances by Chuckie031, Sir Linho and surprise special guests.
Organisers said the programme will be hosted by the legendary Ryan Smith, while the distinguished judging panel includes SAMA award-winning artist Kimosabe, live performer and dancer Thorn Fenner and businesswoman Shanel Nayager.
Beyond the talent showcase, attendees will enjoy a full family-friendly experience featuring a five-a-side soccer tournament, kiddies’ corner as well as a variety of food and craft stalls.
The event forms part of a youth development programme, and it has grown tremendously since its inception.
Throughout the talent search, participants receive training and workshops to develop and refine their talents. Many have also been recognised by event organisers and invited to perform at modelling shows, political events, church functions and other major events hosted in Kokstad.
NCW’s Got Talent is a valuable platform for exposure and is dedicated to nurturing young talent, creating opportunities and building confidence.
