INCIDENTS of gender-based violence, substance abuse and other social ills led King Sebetha to risk his life by embarking on a long walk from his home province of Limpopo. On Tuesday, July 15, he was welcomed by cheerful members of the uMkhonto WeSizwe Party in Kokstad as a way of supporting his vision.
The land referendum was also part of Sebetha’s walk as he called for the return of land to its people.
Sebetha is no stranger to long-distance walks. Last year, he embarked on a long walk from Limpopo to KwaZulu-Natal to raise concerns over elections.
“Each year, I conduct these long walks to raise awareness on important issues. We want our land back,” he stated.
He thanked the people for the support he has been receiving throughout his trips.
