POLICE in Donnybrook, KwaZulu-Natal, launched cases of murder and attempted murder after four victims were gunned down allegedly by masked suspects on Tuesday evening, January 20.
At around 8pm in the Maoleni village, the victims were about to sleep when masked suspects demanded firearms from them.
Three victims were declared dead at the scene, and another one died at the Pholela Clinic. Police spokesperson Mosa Hlaki said that one victim escaped unharmed after he managed to run away.
“The reason for the shooting is unknown at this stage and police are investigating four murder cases and attempted murder,” she said.
