ALL league games for the Harry Gwala Regional League will be returning to normality at the weekend after a long break since November last year.
The games were put on recess on November 9 to allow football teams to participate in the South African Local Government Association (SALGA) games, meant to showcase local athletic talents across various sports such as soccer, rugby, athletics and indigenous games.
SALGA games often bring together municipal teams for competition and community building.
According to Mamisa Ngcobo, the Harry Gwala Regional League competition head, the league conducted catch-up games on January 11 and January 18.
He said that at the weekend, all league games will return to normal.
“The league played three games before it was closed last year. All teams will be on the ground this weekend,” he said.
