PREPARATIONS are at an advanced stage for the third edition of the XJ 10 run scheduled for October 11. The EmaXesibeni Sports Field will welcome runners all the way from Gauteng, Western Cape, KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga to take part in the 5km and 10km run.
XJ Athletics Club secretary Mawande Mpiti explained that relationships have been forged with numerous clubs countrywide to make sure that the run is successful.
In last year’s run, scores of runners participated including elite runner Nape Letlatsa from Lesotho who was pleased with the level of professionalism at the event. In 2024, the run was well supported by local clubs and stakeholders.
Runners walked away with medals, prize money and gift bags from one of the sponsors. Bonginkosi Mbotshwa, the XJ AC spokesperson encouraged people to purchase tickets.
