Good deeds go a long way

GOING beyond basic duties to provide support and services to communities, Kulungile Funerals in Umzimkhulu has extended its hand with compassion to the needy.

The funeral parlour on January 19 brought a smile to Anita Tuntulwana (18) of Jojo in EmaXesibeni (Mount Ayliff).

Tuntulwana was given a brand new laptop from the funeral parlour’s director Milton Mncwabe to support her journey in tertiary education.

Tuntulwana achieved five distinctions in the 2025 matric class. She was grateful for the donation of the laptop and said that it will help with her civil engineering studies.

Her uncle Vusumzi said that the laptop will change her life for the better.

Mncwabe, who has been involved in community-focused services especially during difficult times, said that the laptop was donated through the support of sponsorships.

“This is a way of ploughing back into the community. The funeral parlour focuses on supporting young women who often become victims of GBV. Handing over the laptop is a way of encouraging other businesses to provide support where it is needed,” he said.
