HARRY Gwala district police in conjunction with SANDF, provincial and local traffic, private security companies as well as the Department of Community Safety conducted a stop-and-search operation along the R617 in Kilmun near Bulwer recently. 

SAPS spokesperson Mosa Hlaki said that the operation formed part of safer festive season initiatives. She said that the roadblock checked compliance, dangerous weapons and illegal firearms. She said 14 police stations under the Harry Gwala district supported the initiative.
