THE second Annual Golf Day was hosted in the Mbizana area on October 4 to honour anti-apartheid activist Winnie Madikizela-Mandela.

The event was organised by the Winnie Madikizela-Mandela Local Municipality and Alfred Nzo District Municipality in collaboration with Equla Projects. The day was dedicated to promoting golf for the benefit of the local community.

“The event provided an opportunity for golfers of all skill levels to come together and enjoy the game while sharing their passion for golf,” Alfred Nzo District Municipality mayor Vukile Mhlelembana said.

He added that the key focus of the event was youth development.

“Through the golf challenge, many young people from across the Alfred Nzo District are expected to receive training to enhance their skills and foster a new generation of golfers,” he explained.
