SIPHELELE NKETO
SCHOOL uniforms were handed over to 193 school learners of Umzimkhulu in support of education.
The initiative was championed by MP Ntando Maduna in partnership with the leadership of the Umzimkhulu Local Municipality led by mayor Jabulile Msiya.
The occasion was also attended by the speaker of the Harry Gwala District Municipality Councillor Sbongiseni Mdunge as well as the speaker of the Umzimkhulu Local Municipality, Councillor Gugu Mavuma.
School children were selected from six schools in the area. They included: 31 learners from Zadungeni Junior Secondary, 30 learners from Petros Jozana Junior Secondary, 32 learners from Maranjana Senior Primary, 33 learners from Mfulamhle Junior Primary, 37 learners from Nguse Junior Senior School and 30 learners from Gqwali Primary School.
The donation was warmly received by the community.
