THREE learners from Kokstad schools are set to travel to Ghana in December as part of the U15 Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Schools Football Championship. They include: Unam Ganu (14) and Uthando Pienaar (14) from Shayamoya Area Secondary School as well as Ovayo Bhala (14) from Seven Fountains Primary School.
They will participate in soccer games aimed to develop football at school level across the continent.
The trio participated in local games until they reached the national level. They were selected in July to form part of the national squad.
Seven Fountains Primary School teacher and coach, Dickson Mahlaba, said the multi-talented footballers have been training in Johannesburg to gear up for the tournament.
