Party activates ground level

THE African National Congress in the Tolomane Mnyayiza region under the Umdoni sub-region launched the ANC Friday programme, an initiative aimed to reconnect with communities, energise local structures and display the party’s readiness to lead with purpose.

The programme drew enthusiastic participation from residents, youth and local leaders. Among the key focal areas in the programme are the delivering of essential services with urgency and transparency; strengthening of democratic participation at the local level; building of partnerships with civil society and community organisations; as well as investing in youth development, education and job creation.

The party’s regional spokesperson Lindo Mzimela said that the ANC places service delivery at the heart of its mission.

“The ANC is striving to improve the lives of all South Africans through accessible, efficient and responsive public services, from infrastructure development to healthcare, education and social welfare. The party prioritises service delivery and aims to foster inclusive growth, reduce inequality and uphold the values of dignity and progress for every citizen,” he said in a statement.

Attending the launch was the ANC’s Provincial Task Team first deputy convenor Weziwe Thusi who gave hope to party members about the comeback of the ANC.
