THE year 2025 has been good for the Matatiele-based model Bonisiwe Mnxasana (21) after she won two awards, the Miss Eastern Best Media Entertainment 2025 and Miss Unbreakable Stars 2025.
She earned the first crown on July 12 and another one last month.
She said she wants to use her titles to demonstrate acts of kindness in her community. To attest to that, she is organizing a gender-based violence awareness campaign in November to educate and empower the community.
“I want to instil respect in the community and also show support for gender-based violence survivors. All I want to achieve is to create a safer society,” she said. The event will provide platforms for discussions aimed at promoting communities that are free from GBV. The Mazizini villager started her modelling career last year when she participated in the Miss Matatiele pageant.
