League matches in full swing

THE full return of league matches for the Harry Gwala Regional League last weekend was a highlight for sports enthusiasts.

League games were put on temporary recess since November last year to enable football teams to participate in the SALGA games. Clydesdale United Brothers experienced a defeat against Peace Makers FC 2-1. A goalless draw was played between Wanderers FC and Esayidi Tvet College FC, while Kokstad Liverpool FC and Ixopo United FC drew 2-2. Flicks United FC and Young Chiefs FC also drew 1-1.

KR Arsenal FC defeated PSG Amabhaca FC 2-1, GF Reserve FC lost against Redlions FC 5-0, and Blackpool FC beat Samba Boys FC 4-1.

On Sunday, February 1, Clydesdale United Brothers will face Kokstad Liverpool FC at the Umzimkhulu Turf Ground at 2pm, Peace Makers FC play a home match against Blackpool FC at Jeff Zungu Turf from 3pm, Esayidi TVET College FC travel to Jeff Zungu Turf to play against Ixopo United FC at 1pm, while Samba Boys FC play against Wanderers FC at Mlimandlela Stadium from 2pm and Eastern Rangers FC play against Kr Arsenal FC at Riverview S Ground at 1pm.

PSG Amabhaca FC will play a home game against Flicks United FC at Jeff Zungu Turf at 11am, and Redlions FC play a home match against Young Chiefs FC at Riverview S Ground at 11am.
