INKATHA Freedom Party (IFP) President Velenkosini Hlabisa together with members of the party’s national executive committee will on Friday, September 24, commemorate Heritage Month at Luphilisweni sports ground in Mbizana, Eastern Cape.

The commemoration will serve as an opportunity for the party leadership to engage communities, celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the Eastern Cape and also reaffirm the importance of unity, dignity and respect for the traditions that form part of South Africa’s collective identity.

National Heritage Day is observed annually on September 24. The IFP said heritage is not merely about remembering the past but drawing strength from diverse histories and traditions to build a more united, respectful and prosperous South Africa.

“Our cultural diversity should be a source of strength that brings communities together, rather than a basis for division,” the party said.
