A SUSPECT (39) was arrested by police in Ixopo after attempting to hide drugs at the Railway informal settlement, Ixopo, recently.

Police received information about drugs being sold in the area. Through police investigations, the suspect was found trying to hide a plastic bag under a table.

Police spokesperson Mosa Hlaki said that the suspect was charged at Ixopo SAPS for possession of 550 capsules of drugs.

The suspect appeared at Ixopo Magistrate’s Court and was granted bail. The case was postponed to April 17.
