HIP-HOP and trap artist Lungisile LGL Nkosiyaphantsi has initiated a free mentorship and guidance programme to benefit upcoming artists in the small town of Kokstad in KwaZulu-Natal.

The initiative started last year to assist young artists with recording, promote their songs through various platforms and distribute their music to online music stores. Under his recording company called Nowayback Enter Records, he has seven artists so far to nurture their voices to perfection. 

“The recording company’s mission is to take authentic voices from the grassroots level to bigger platforms,” Nkosiyaphantsi said. He added that his recording company gives hope and inspiration to upcoming artists and also discovers new talents. Artists under the recording company include hip-hop artist Burger, Bnlz, General, Nizo Dah Poet, Nolly Nkosazana, Nanna and Pamela. Storyteller and poet Nizo Dah Poet will soon release his debut EP, while Nolly Nkosazana released her first EP in December last year. Their music was produced by Broozmade.
