AT the tender age of 16, Kath Kilian has successfully navigated age barriers with the release of her debut single, Edge Of Maybe.
Kilian recently made a powerful entrance into the music industry with her emotionally charged debut track, which encapsulates the essence of youth.
Her journey towards creating her debut single culminated in her competing in Galleria’s Got Talent 2025 where she placed 2nd and caught the attention of Kyle Deutsch.
Recognising her potential from the very beginning, Deutsch believed in Kilian and her future, playing a significant role in shaping her path.
Through this connection, and in collaboration with producer Garth Strydom, a meaningful creative partnership was formed and one that ultimately gave life to her debut single, Edge Of Maybe.
Blending heartfelt lyricism with a contemporary pop sound, Edge Of Maybe explores the defining moments of standing on the brink of change, where fear meets possibility and courage begins to take shape.
With emotional depth beyond her years, the Grade 10 learner delivered a moving portrayal of life’s “in-between” spaces, offering a voice that feels both deeply personal and universally relatable.
What sets Kilian apart is not only her artistry, but the story behind it. Living with a hearing impairment, she has navigated unique challenges on her journey into music.
Rather than limiting her, this experience has shaped her into an artist with a distinctive connection to sound and expression, which grounds her work in authenticity, resilience and purpose.
Her debut has been described as not just an introduction song, but a song that marks the arrival of an artist, unafraid to stand on the edge of possibility and step forward.
The song can be found on major streaming platforms nationwide.
