Legacy drive benefits schools

Siphelele Nketo

AS part of honouring the legacy of the late Pastor Benjie Fortein, Helping Hands NCW NPO has given back to the community of Kokstad by supporting local schools.

The yearly Fortein Drive was held between January and March this year to make an impact on several institutions.

Among the institutions that will benefit are: Kokstad Primary School which received much-needed paint to improve its facilities; Mount Currie Senior Secondary School which was provided with plants and trees to enhance its environment; Kokstad College Hostel which benefitted from the donation of garden tools; and St Theresa Pre-school which received a food voucher to support its learners.

A donation of school shoes was made to learners of Huntley Primary School in Franklin.

The NPO thanked all individuals and partners who contributed to making the initiative a success.

Helping Hands NCW NPO has committed itself to making a positive change in the community and looks forward to continuing this impactful initiative in the years to come.
