A BACK-to-school programme spearheaded by MP Sbonelo Nomvalo has provided uniforms to learners from three schools in Umzimkhulu, KwaZulu-Natal. The handover ceremony took place on Monday, January 26, at Esihlotlweni Junior Secondary, Emawushe Primary, and Ibisi Senior Secondary. According to Nomvalo, the programme was implemented despite facing threats. He asserted that the threats were politically motivated and intended to disrupt the programme’s positive impact on the community. The event, however, proceeded without any issues. The local community and learners expressed their gratitude for the donation. Nomvalo was joined by the leadership of the uMkhonto weSizwe Party in the Harry Gwala region. Regional organiser Bongani Msomi said that 10 learners from each school benefitted from the programme.
