IN a remarkable battle between four football clubs in the Alfred Nzo Nedbank Cup games, Chilli Boys FC claimed victory after defeating Matat FC 1-0 on October 4 in Mbizana.

The Chilli Boys FC win has put the EmaXesibeni-based club in a position where it will participate in another level of the cup games in East London. Their win would qualify the club for the national level of the Nedbank Cup.

Odwa Fikeni, the club’s chairman, thanked players and commended the support the club has been getting from its fans.

He said preparations are underway for the upcoming games.
