UMZIMVUBU Local Municipality mayor Zukiswa Ndevu led a delegation of municipal executive committee members to visit infrastructure projects as part of Public Service Month.
The visit, on September 30, was designed to ensure transparency, accountability and effective service delivery.
The delegation engaged directly with beneficiaries and community members on the ground.
The visit also served as a key platform for fostering community involvement and responsiveness to local needs.
Umzimvubu Local Municipality said that the implementation of the projects created significant employment opportunities for residents and contributed towards economic development.
“This hands-on approach reinforces the municipality’s commitment to inclusive governance and sustainable infrastructure growth,” Mayor Ndevu said.
The delegation visited the Sikhumbeni community hall construction project in Ward 7, the Mpungulelweni access road and two bridges in Ward 14, Lugangeni feedlot storage facility in Ward 15, and the electrification link line project in Ward 6.
