THE Greater Kokstad Municipality in KwaZulu-Natal has announced the appointment of Wandisile Wanda Dotye as the new chief financial officer (CFO) at a media briefing on Wednesday, September 17.

Dotye started working in the position from September 1.

The municipality described Dotye as an enthusiastic professional with 15 years of experience in local government.

“Dotye is a successful professional with a wealth of transferable skills gained in the past 15 years in the revenue and financial management sector in this municipality. His experience has contributed to the sound financial management and financial stability of the municipality,” municipal mayor Lwanda Madikizela said. He further said that Dotye played a vital role in the implementation of the indigent support register to subsidise municipal customers who cannot afford to pay for rates and services.
