Fire Fighter Trainee (x1)
STIPEND: R5000.00 PER MONTH (FIXED TERM 18 MONTHS CONTRACT)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
• Grade 12 Certificate • Certificate in Fire Fighter I and II • Hazmat awareness and operations certificate • Valid First Aid Level 3 or BAA • Valid Minimum Code C1 or EC driver’s licence • Ability to communicate in both Isizulu and English • Be less than 35 years old • Be Physically fit • No criminal record against your name or pending criminal charges • Will be expected to undergo a fitness test.
KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS
• React immediately to the fire station bells to respond to fire • Attending emergency medical and hazardous substances incidents • Ensure Compliance with all statuary legislation and Council policies/procedures/standards to ensure optimum management of firefighting • Attending rescue and emergency/disaster operations • Clean and test firefighting and medical equipment • Perform administrative duties including the completion of incidents reports and reporting of equipment and defeat • Attend the efficient care and maintenance of all assets of the fire fighting and emergency services section • Perform fire safety inspections • Participate in fire safety awareness campaigns • Carry out the fire fighter and emergency activities at incidents to ensure the safety of fire-fighters and others.
