KWABHACA Magistrate’s Court in the Eastern Cape has denied bail for a police murder suspect (31).
The suspect was linked to the killing of a female sergeant, Nomlindelo Faye (35), who was brutally murdered whilst on her way to work in 2020.
The policewoman was stationed at KwaBhaca SAPS.
She was shot multiple times and died instantly on the scene from bullet wounds. Last month, the suspect was arrested by Hawks at the KwaBhaca Magistrate’s Court while attending to another matter.
“Through an extensive investigation by the Hawks, the suspect was positively linked with the murder case,” said Warrant Officer Ndiphiwe Mhlakuvana.
Hawks Eastern Cape provincial head Major General Mboiki Obed Ngwenya praised the investigating team for ensuring that the long-standing suspect was successfully denied bail and remanded in custody.
