THE bodies of two women in Mqanduli near Mthatha were found stabbed in their homestead on Sunday, December 14. The body of the first woman (42) was found in a pool of blood by a neighbour who heard the screaming of the victims. To her surprise, the neighbour witnessed the suspect stabbing the second victim and she alerted the community. Police said the victims succumbed to multiple stab wounds on their upper bodies and the suspect was arrested.
“The suspect was rushed to hospital to be treated for injuries,” said police spokesperson Welile Matyolo. He said the motive for the murder forms part of police investigations.
