Greater Kokstad Municipality (GKM) in collaboration with various government departments invites the community of Kokstad to attend Operation MBO.

This is a special government outreach programme aimed at bringing essential services directly to the people. The venue of this programme is Thuthukani Hall on Wednesday, 10 June 2026.

Operation MBO is an important initiative that seeks to ensure that residents, especially those living in remote and outskirt areas such as Thuthukani Ngele and Ekuthuleni, are not left behind when it comes to accessing government services.

Many community members often face challenges such as transport costs and long travelling distances when seeking assistance from government offices. Through this programme, government departments come directly to the community to provide support, information, and services closer to the people.

This programme also provides residents with an opportunity to engage directly with government officials, raise service delivery concerns, receive assistance, and access various services under one roof.

This initiative demonstrates the government’s commitment to ensuring that every citizen, regardless of where they live, has access to quality services and opportunities. GKM encourages all community members to come out in numbers and make full use of this opportunity.
