ALFRED Nzo District Municipality officially announced the reinstatement of Zamile Sikhundla for the position of municipal manager after a council resolution taken during a special meeting on October 21.

“This decision reflected the council’s commitment to institutional stability and the enhancement of service delivery to the people,” said municipal spokesperson Luncedo Walaza.

The council also announced the appointment of Simvumile Mambafula as director of Corporate Services with immediate effect.

The municipality confirmed the resignation of the director for Strategic Governance Nelisile Xolo and declared the post vacant.

“The council expressed its sincere appreciation to Mr Xolo for his dedicated service and sterling contribution to the strategic governance and development agenda of the district.

His professionalism and commitment to the advancement of good governance and service delivery left a positive and lasting impact on the institution,” concluded Walaza.
