NOLUVO MGIJIMA
THE local community of EmaXesibeni supported by uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MPK) members have called for justice for the murdered Zibele Jingxi. Jingxi of the Mhluzini village was brutally killed in August last year. Family spokesperson Sixolile said that Jingxi was found burnt in an open space in Siphundu.
Last Saturday, September 20, members of the MKP conducted a prayer service to support the family and also to call for justice.
Lucky Malusi, the MKP regional secretary in Alfred Nzo, said that the party’s crime prevention desk joined the fight to seek justice for Jingxi. He said the party will assist the family to ensure justice prevails. The arrest of 17 people in connection to the crime brought some relief to the family, but that was short-lived as no one was found guilty.
“The party is engaging the National Prosecuting Authority to resolve the case,” said Malusi.
