UNBEARABLE cold weather conditions in the Kokstad area prompted the African National Congress (ANC) party in the Kokstad sub-region to donate warm blankets to elderly people.

The recent event at the Bhongweni Youth Centre was an initiative of the ANC’s former KZN provincial secretary Bheki Mtolo.

However, Mtolo did not attend the ceremony. ANC Kokstad sub-regional secretary Zolani Siqwayi said that the party wanted to keep the elderly warm during the winter season.
