The Greater Kokstad Municipality hereby invites all residents to participate in the upcoming IDP Izimbizo for the 2025/2026 financial year. These engagements are an important platform where municipal council, government officials, and various stakeholders meet with communities with the aim to consult with citizens and stakeholders on the draft IDP and budget, address community needs, and ensure democratic governance and municipal accountability. During these sessions, communities are encouraged to raise their concerns, share ideas and good practices, and contribute to shaping the future development priorities of Kokstad. The programme will commence on Tuesday, 07 October 2025 with a meeting with public and private Stakeholders at the Supper Room at 11h00, followed later the same day by an IDP Imbizo at the Town Hall for Ward 3 and Mamiesa residents at 17h00. On 08 October 2025, meetings will take place at JJ Mhlongo Hall in Ward 1 (Horseshoe) at 12h00, followed by the meeting at the Youth Centre in Bhongweni at 17h00, covering Wards 5, 8, and 9.

On Thursday, 09 October 2025, IDP Imbizo will be at EXT 7 Hall (Ward 7) at 17h00. On 10 October 2025, residents of Ward 2 are invited to attend the session at Waynesburg, starting at 11h00. Furthermore, the programme will continue on 15 October 2025 at Shayamoya Hall in Marikana for Wards 10, 7, and 4, starting at 16h00, and on 16 October 2025, a session will be hosted at the Community Hall in Riverview, Twistville, and South End areas at 17h00. The Izimbizo will conclude on 19 October 2025 at Pakkies Hall in Ward 6 at 11h00.
