Greater Kokstad Municipality (GKM) cordially invites the community of Kokstad to attend the GKM Mayoral Imbizo where the municipal leadership and council will engage directly with residents on the journey of the past five years.

This event will take place on Tuesday, 02 June 2026 at Shayamoya Sports Field commencing at 10h00.

This important community engagement platform will provide an opportunity for the GKM council to account to the people by sharing both the successes and challenges experienced during the current term of office.

The Imbizo seeks to promote transparency, accountability, and open communication between government and the community.

Residents will hear firsthand about service delivery progress, development projects, achievements, and areas where the municipality faced challenges over the past five years.

Community members will also have an opportunity to raise concerns, ask questions, and contribute towards building a better Greater Kokstad for all. The municipality believes that meaningful development can only be achieved when communities are actively involved in governance and decision-making processes.

Your voice matters, and your participation is important in shaping the future of our municipality.

Come in numbers and be part of this important engagement with your leadership. The council has invited Jumbo as the guest artist. “Together, we build a people-centred city of economic possibilities.”
