POPULAR Maskandi artist Inkunzi Emdaka laid the groundwork for a number of musicians including his son Silungile Khwetshube (29), popularly called ‘Inkunz’Encane’.
Khwetshube has followed in his dad’s footsteps of singing Maskandi songs since 2019.
Throughout his singing journey he has yielded positive results. He recently released an Extended Play (EP) with three songs titled: Ujola Nobani, Thongo Lam and Ekuseni.
The Mbizana musician said that observing his father’s musical journey played a role in his singing career.
“I was exposed to Maskandi music from a young age. My father played a big role in making me a Maskandi artist,” he said.
In 2019, he released an album titled Palamente with 10 songs. The song Uyayizwa Yini Ingoma was the most loved song from the album. He said he produced the song with his father.
Khwetshube said his music is completely different to his father’s music. He concluded by saying that his music career so far has been exciting but challenging at times.
