SECURING a new role in one of the SABC’s most popular soaps, Generations: The Legacy, was a dream come true for gospel singer Lungisani Ndlovu. He said that his new role in the soap requires a sober person and stubborn character. He described the role as the most exciting, as he plays the role of a judge dealing with serious cases.
“I feel honoured for the new role in my acting career as it has created such a big following on my social media platforms,” he said.
Ndlovu has been singing gospel music, starting from his first album Bakhusele in 2012 and second album called Bawethu in 2015.
He released another album called Amatshe in 2022. As part of taking up television opportunities, he has made his name in acting by appearing in numerous plays. He has played the role of Minister “Cupcake” Ntuli on Uzalo and also an abusive pastor on Durban Gen. His acting roles also include a traditional healer on Shaka Ilembe and another as a state lawyer on Amalanga Awefani.
He said his singing career is on pause until October when he will release an EP.
