The Greater Kokstad Municipality would like to remind residents that, in addition to the scheduled physical registration programme, residents with smartphones and access to the internet can now apply online for the Indigent Register 2026/27.

This initiative is aimed at improving accessibility, convenience, and efficient service delivery, allowing qualifying residents to apply without the need to travel to registration venues. Residents who meet the qualifying criteria and have the necessary documentation are encouraged to make use of the online platform by following the link below: https://indigent-joburg.vercel.app/

Applicants are furthermore reminded to ensure that all required supporting documents are clearly scanned or photographed, information provided is accurate and truthful, and the application is completed by the property owner.

An additional option and residents may still attend their allocated venues according to the schedule if they require assistance or do not have access to digital services.

 From 18–22 May, services will be rendered at Bhongweni Youth Center for Ward 1, Ward 9, Ward 8 and Ward 5, and the programme will conclude from 25–29 May at the Supper Room assisting Ward 10, Ward 3, Ward 5, Ward 9 and Ward 7.

Apply early, apply honestly, and ensure all required documents are submitted.
