A PROJECT to repair the streets of KwaBhaca (Mount Frere) has been activated to intensify infrastructure development through the implementation of key road rehabilitation.
The Umuzimvubu Local Municipality announced road works currently underway at the bypass and parts of the town.
Municipal mayor Zukiswa Ndevu said that the road repair projects will improve traffic flow, strengthen accessibility for both motorists and pedestrians and contribute towards creating a more functional and attractive urban environment.
“The municipality views infrastructure development as a critical driver for local economic growth, improved service delivery and community development,” she said.
Motorists have been encouraged to remain patient and cooperative during the construction period as stop-and-go systems have been implemented in certain areas of the town to ensure the safety of both road users and construction teams.
While temporary disruptions may be experienced, Ndevu said that the long-term benefits of these projects will contribute towards safer roads, improved connectivity, enhanced business activity and an overall improved image for the town of KwaBhaca.
