A night of glitz!

THE night of April 25 was packed with memorable moments in what was described as a delicious and ‘lekker’ time.

Hosted by the NCW NPO, the event ignited hope, celebrated youth, and reminded the community of what’s possible when people come together with purpose. After auditions on February 21, the 12 exceptional acts earned their place on the grand finale stage of the annual talent contest. Each performance carried not just skill, but courage, discipline and a unique story.

Standing tall at the grand finale was Caleb Selous, a gifted singer, songwriter and guitarist, who captured hearts and secured first place, taking home R5 000. Another winner was the energetic and dynamic dance group called The Reflexers, proudly representing AmaExplosives Entertainment. They claimed victory and won R3 000.

The runners-up were equally celebrated, each receiving R1 000. They were: AmaExplosives (Best Dance), Jayy Holy (Best Rap) and The Rhymax (Best Singers).

The audience was treated to electrifying performances from local talents such as Kill K (Kearan Lothering), Lil Pro, Dollr WakwaDanger, the Kokstad Super Creative Visionaries (poets and musicians), and Devondré Fenner.

Also included in the event was a market day for local vendors, while a kiddies’ corner created a space for children to enjoy. There was also a soccer tournament organised by Carlo Fortein.
