LAST Friday, March 13, was a night of creativity and talent as fashion designers in the area of Umzimvubu displayed their work at the 10th annual fashion show.
The KwaBhaca Town Hall was filled to capacity as fashion enthusiasts gathered to witness an impressive showcase of designs from emerging and established designers.
Designers from Umzimvubu and neighbouring municipalities presented a diverse range of collections, each reflecting originality, craftsmanship and innovation.
The event served as an important platform for local designers to showcase their work and gain recognition for their contribution to the fashion sector. At the conclusion of the show, outstanding designers were honoured across several categories for their exceptional work. They were: Siyabonga Mbotho (Best Newcomer), Kwantu Creation by Ludwe Kibi (Best Innovative Designer), The CM Edit by Mfezeko Cobokana (All Star Designer), Verothan Creations by Veronique Somjanga (Best Invited Designer) and YTee-Gen by Nontobeko Dingiswayo (Overall Winner).
“The 10th edition of the Umzimvubu Fashion Show marks an important milestone for the event, which continues to grow as a significant platform for nurturing and celebrating fashion talent in our area,” said Mayor Zukiswa Ndevu of the Umzimvubu Local Municipality.
The municipality congratulated the winners.
